Lotus Bleu Potrero Hill Design Studio

After 12 wonderful years in Hayes Valley and juggling both a bustling retail business and adjacent interior design office, we traded 1,000 square feet of boutique space for 1,000 square feet of design studio space. Staying true to our penchant for using rich colors, graphically patterned and layered textiles, we made a seamless, but refreshing transition to our new home.

Taking favorite elements from our former space, we designed a tranquil oasis above a charming, tree-filled, outdoor courtyard in our new SF Design District location. Surrounded by natural light, nature and blue sky from porches, windows and sliding glass doors on all four sides, yellows and blues take center stage, accented by our signature pinks and oranges.

With a staircase leading up to a welcoming entry, private offices, main workspace, wet-bar and materials library, the studio is designed like a 2-bedroom apartment, making our clients feel immediately at home. Carefully outfitting the rooms with examples of wall coverings, window treatments, flooring, and furnishings in different styles and price ranges, clients can get first-hand experience of the design options we offer.

Our expanded space extends the kinds of services we now provide while still giving our clients access to some of the exclusive collections we continue to carry, many by our favorite artisans who take a modern approach to traditional textile and fabrication methods.
